The Shift Has Already Happened
Right now, without any human pressing a button, AI agents are searching the web, reading documents, making decisions, and attempting to purchase data, services, and compute. They are doing this on behalf of millions of businesses — from Fortune 500 compliance teams to solo developers building the next generation of applications.
The problem: the infrastructure to support this doesn't exist yet.
When an AI agent tries to buy something, it hits a wall. Legacy payment systems require a human credit card. API contracts require a lawyer and a 6-month negotiation. Subscription billing assumes a human will log in and manage an account. None of these work for a machine operating at the speed of software.
This is the gap 0x307 Inc. was built to fill.
What We Built
0x307 is the economic infrastructure layer for the machine-to-machine internet.
Think of it as the toll road, the payment terminal, and the identity system for AI agents — all in one. When an AI agent needs to query a database, purchase a data record, or access a service, it goes through 0x307's gateway. The transaction happens in fractions of a cent, in milliseconds, with a complete audit trail, and with no human involved on either side.
Three things make this possible:
1. Microtransaction payments that work for machines.
Traditional payment systems charge a minimum of $0.30 per transaction — making it economically impossible to charge $0.003 for a single data query. 0x307's x402 payment protocol enables transactions as small as a fraction of a cent, settled instantly, with no human authorization required. An AI agent can query a criminal record, pay for it automatically, and move on — all in under a second.
2. A gateway that speaks every AI language.
There are now 12 major protocols that AI agents use to communicate and transact. Most infrastructure providers support one or two. 0x307 supports all 12 — meaning any AI agent, built on any platform, by any company in the world, can transact through our gateway today. This is the difference between a toll road that only accepts one brand of car and one that accepts all of them.
3. A compliance and audit trail that regulators will require.
Every transaction through 0x307 produces an immutable, cryptographically signed record of what happened, when, by whom, and for what price. For data companies operating in regulated industries — background checks, identity verification, financial data — this is not a nice-to-have. It is the future of regulatory compliance.
Why This Is the Right Moment
Three forces are converging right now:
AI agent adoption is accelerating faster than anyone predicted. Every major technology company — Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI — has released frameworks for building autonomous AI agents. Millions of these agents are being deployed. They all need to transact. None of the existing infrastructure was built for them.
Data companies are sitting on untapped revenue. The most valuable data in the world — criminal records, identity verification, financial history, employment data — is currently sold through annual licensing contracts that require human sales cycles.
